Traveling through airport experience with the bag, it's Nice!

I used this bag for traveling through airline, state to state. Used it as a carry on. Size is nice, just right for overhead storage on plane. And can be suited as a valet carry on. Laptop compartment on the side is nicely snug padded and protected, adjustable to size fits 17"or less. I was able to fit another laptop in the front big main pocket. Front pocket ous decent, you use it how you want to, but it completely opens up for easy access. Middle pocket is decent medium size pocket. Side corner pockets are tiny. Just Wish the compartment space could be designed better for more space or make it adjustable with the option to expand compartment space. I think it's pretty tough product regarding the frame, gets hefty when stuffed. I think the frame is what takes up the space, but it's still a very nice carry on bag, with option of wheeled or back packing. I love the option going between backpacking or wheeled, but the zipper flap for the shoulder straps, i wish was better designed, when using as back pack, the zipper flap goes under the bag and just cover the wheels, and they only thing that holds that flap is just a small Velcro. The handle is nice and comfy. When wheeled the handle bar is quite sturdy and tough. When not in use, its tucked away in its own small compartment and zippered.

Just what I was looking for

So far this purchase has turned out better than I expected. I think the sellers/mfrs are doing themselves a disservice by not offering a more complete description and photos. I've used this bag almost daily for about a month and it has not disappointed me yet. Back to front: - the backpack straps zip neatly under a cover, and seem sturdy. In backpack mode, the cover folds down around the underside of the bag and secures with velcro to keep clothes clean from dirt on the wheels - there are two long, skinny Pockets of Mystery on both sides of the back. I have no idea what they are supposed to be for -- dress shoes? flip flops? collapsible umbrellas? tall skinny water bottles? machetes? power cords? I want to hear from the bag's designer on this, I truly do. - the handle is covered by a zipper until you need it and seems to extend/collapse just fine. handle height is good for me at 5'3" - bag seems to roll smoothly and steadily - laptop compartment unzips and opens to the side of the bag, close to the handle, which is precisely what I wanted. This is a rare feature in a laptop pack; it means you can open the main compartment without the laptop flopping forward. Despite this the entire bag does tend to top over forward when there's a laptop in the compartment and the main cargo compartment isn't fully loaded. The laptop compartment has some cloth-covered long, skinny foam pieces which secure inside the cavity with velcro, so as to adjust to different laptop sizes. My 15" laptops fit just fine by taking 1 of the foam pieces out; if I took the others out I suspect a 17" laptop would fit too, but I have not tested this. There seems to be plenty of room inside the laptop compartment; I usually fit a 15" laptop as well as my work notebook in there. - the main cargo compartment is large and spacious with one interior pocket. Alas I can now stuff the bag with more stuff than I can physically carry! - the front compartment is also fairly large with an assortment of small pockets in it. The cover of the front compartment zips completely off if desired for embroidery or personalizing or whatever. - there are two small side pockets, one with a mesh add-on piece to accommodate a water bottle. The only thing I would change about this bag is to add a small pocket with an exterior zip like the SwissGear bags have on top -- ideal for putting in keys, garage door remote, loose change, and other small items. I may sew a small pocket inside the front cover to meet this need. In its somewhat homely, but completely serviceable camel color, this pack would be at home on a serviceperson's back as a weekend bag, with room for laptop, change of clothes and whatnot. "Code Alpha" is stamped on the carry handle so that was probably their intended market. I don't care if it isn't more festive because of its other features I appreciate very much.
