The fasteners attaching the carrying handle to the bag do not hold up. If the bag is packed for deployment and you carry the bag by the carrying handle vs. the shoulder strap the webbing rubs against the fastener heads and ultimately tears away. A fastener with a round head and no sharp edges would work better. So far Mercury had declined to approve warranty replacement under their Lifetime Warranty.
Some "ups" and Some "downs"
I purchased this bag during the last two years of my contract as I was supporting a civil affairs logistics unit (Guard unit) with technical, IT and communications responsibilities while working full time in my civilian IT job. The "ups:" 1) Well laid out; 2) Internal device protection is very good; 3) Good zippers and buckles that have not failed me. The "downs:" 1) the MOLLE webbing is not standard size. I have a lot of very useful MOLLE/PALS gear left over from service and I cannot attach it to this bag in the way I would like. 2) The back zipper pocket does not have any sort of expansion bellows. It is not very useful when you need to carry documents, folders or papers. If the MOLLE webbing on this bag was in a standard size configurations, I would give this bag five stars! I could geek it out with all my cool pouches and such to make it more useful for me. I have also purchased a bag very similar to this product but it is very inferior in construction. BUT, it is wrapped in standard MOLLE webbing and if I could give it a ten star review I would. I will probably just give this Mercury Tactical bag to a co-worker and use the inferior bag with the standard MOLLE as it at least lets me customize and amend the bag's usability the way that works for me. IF you do not care about attaching pouches and such to this product, then I highly recommend it. If you do care about using the MOLLE panels in standard ways, I say keep looking.

Very durable bag that is well padded. Great protection. You could throw this bag with your computer 10 ft. and it would most likely protect it.
